15 March - 1 April: Prompting period
1 April - 1 May: Posting period
Questions?
Feel free to ask on this post! Anon commenting is enabled.
Guidelines
- When the prompting post goes up, post your prompts as top-level comments to that post. Only leave one prompt per comment. (You can post as many comments as you want, though!)
- Prompts may be left logged-in or anonymously.
- Prompts should look like this:
- Both fanfic and fanart are acceptable mediums for fills. If you only want one or the other in response to your prompt, make sure to specify.
Fandoms:
- Prompts must contain at least two fandoms.
- When the fandoms in question are related to each other (e.g. various Power Rangers seasons, different Final Fantasy games), whether or not a prompt counts as a crossover is something I'm going to leave up to the honor system. As long as you're not prompting the same fandom "crossed over" with itself, or Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone "crossed over" with Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, I'm not going to be the crossover police.
Relationships:
- The theme of this fest is crossover relationships. These relationships can be romantic, platonic, familial, antagonistic, or what have you. But there must be at least one relationship included in every prompt.
- The relationships you prompt need to contain characters from at least two different fandoms. For relationships involving more than two characters, some of them can be from the same fandom as long as at least one is from a different fandom -- for example, Dean Winchester/Sam Winchester/T'challa is fine. But Dean Winchester/Sam Winchester is not an acceptable relationship, even if your prompt has the relationship set in a Pokemon AU.
- When filling a prompt, stick to the relationship type that was prompted. Don't write romance for a platonic prompt, and don't write platonic friendship for a romantic prompt.
- Use the slash symbol (/) for romantic and sexual relationships, and the ampersand (&) for platonic and familial relationships. Other symbols (such as Homestuck romance, "VS" for antagonistic relationships, what-have-you) may also be used at your discretion.
Prompt details:
- Prompts can be as succinct or as detailed as you like, but please try and limit your prompts to no longer than 100 words. (I won't be counting; this is just a rough guideline to keep from overwhelming potential fillers.)
- When filling a prompt, please stick to the spirit of the prompt. If somebody is prompting kinky sex, don't write chaste hand-holding; and if somebody is prompting a fluffy first date, don't draw gore. If you're ever in doubt as to what somebody means by their prompt, you can always comment in response to the prompt asking for clarification.
Filling:
- If filling with fanfic, post your fill as a reply to the prompt that inspired it.
- If filling with fanart, post a link to your fill as a reply to the prompt that inspired it. Do not embed your image directly into your comment.
- Some good places to host fanart include Tumblr and Imgur. Please don't use Photobucket (as viewing images on Photobucket is very resource-intensive for many users, and Photobucket images can no longer be embedded if you choose to cross-post anywhere else!) or Tinypic (as they periodically overwrite images that haven't been viewed for a while).
If you post your fill on Ao3, you can add it to the Crossover Relationships Fest collection.
- No financial promotion in your fills. You can include a link to your Ao3/Tumblr/whatever page, but no Patreon, Ko-Fi, GoFundMe, etc. links.

Harry Potter/Fullmetal Alchemist; Harry Potter & Edward Elric; Bonding over Philosopher's Stone shenanigansDon't worry about which fandom you list first. I'll be compiling a list of prompts, in which each prompt will be included under the heading of every fandom it contains for easy browsing.
